This short, self-paced training will get you ready to reserve and use SI 4030 on your own. It takes about 10–15 minutes and ends with a five-question check to confirm you're ready to go. There's no need to memorize everything here, the full reference guides (linked at the bottom of this page) will always be available for you to come back to.

By the end of this training, you'll be able to:

Reserve the room and turn on its displays and touch table
Sign in to SAGE3, the room's collaboration software, on a room device or your own laptop
Join or create a SAGE3 board and add content to it
Shut everything down properly when you're done

What Is SI 4030?

SI 4030 (the "Data-X Studio") is a collaborative, high-technology meeting space with large-format displays, an interactive touch table, and SAGE3 collaboration software installed throughout. It's built for group work where people need to view, arrange, and discuss digital content together on a shared, room-scale canvas, rather than everyone crowded around one laptop screen.

What Is SAGE3?

SAGE3 (Smart Amplified Group Environment) is the software that powers the room. It gives your group a shared digital canvas called a board, where images, documents, PDFs, and other content are visible to everyone viewing that board, whether they're standing in the room or joining from a laptop elsewhere. Boards are saved between sessions, so you can prepare content ahead of time and pick up right where you left off when you walk into the room.

How This Training Works

There are four short modules to go through, in order:

Welcome & Overview (this page)
Room Orientation — reserving the room and turning everything on
Using SAGE3 — signing in, boards, and adding content
Wrapping Up & Room Care — shutdown steps and a few important rules

Then there's a short knowledge check. Once you pass it, you're cleared to reserve and use the room independently.
